The weather system over the country:
The northern limit of the monsoon is passing through 16.5N/60E, 16.5N/65E, 16 degrees E/70 degrees north. Goa (Mormungao), Narayanpet, Narsapur, 17E/85N, 19.5E/88N, 21.5E/90N, 23E/89.5N and Islampur.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of the Southwest monsoon into the remaining part of central Arabian Sea, the remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of South Maharashtra, some more parts of Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of South Chhattisgarh, and Southwest Central and Northwest Bay of Bengal in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The Western disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and adjoining areas.
A cyclonic circulation is over southwest Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Another cyclonic circulation is over northwest Madhya Pradesh.
An east-west trough is extending from the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Madhya Pradesh to west Bengal across east Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand.
The cyclonic circulation over east central and joining Myanmar coast between 3.1 and 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
A trough extends from the cyclonic circulation over West Uttar Pradesh to East Bangladesh across east Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
A cyclonic circulation is over south Gujarat.
A cyclonic circulation is seen over northeast Assam.
Weather Activity in the last 24 hours:
During the last 24 hours, Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells occurred over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, North interior Karnataka, parts of Telangana and South Konkan and Goa.
Light to moderate rain occurred over coastal Karnataka, South interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, parts of Vidarbha, Odisha, southeast Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Jammu Kashmir.
A dust storm with light rain occurred over parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
Delhi and NCR also witnessed dust storm activities during night hours.
Light rainfall occurred over Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, South Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Lakshadweep.
Heat wave conditions occurred over parts of Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh.
Weather Activity in the next 24 hours:
During the next 24 hours, Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells are possible over Karnataka, parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Light to moderate rain may occur over Vidarbha, Sikkim, Northeast India, South Gujarat, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh and parts of Himachal Pradesh.
Light rain is possible over Odisha, parts of South Gujarat, east Rajasthan and in isolated pockets of Bihar and Jharkhand.
Dust storm thunderstorms with scattered rain may occur over many places over West Rajasthan, parts of East Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
Dust storms with light rain are possible over Delhi.
Heat wave conditions may occur in isolated pockets of Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Odisha.
