According to the Meteorological Department, the phase of pre-monsoon rains will start in Bihar from Tuesday, June 11. During this, light to moderate rains with thunderstorms are forecast at more places in North Bihar than in South Bihar.
No relief from heat till Monday
However, people are not expected to get relief from the heat till Monday. During this, people will have to face humid heat in most places in the districts of south-west and south-central parts including Patna. Heat wave is also expected in some places in these districts.
Increase in maximum temperature on Friday
The maximum temperature of the state had increased on Friday. It is expected to increase on Saturday as well. At the same time, due to thunderstorm activity in the state during three days, there may be light rain with thunderstorm at some places.
Sultry heat in these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of humid heat in the south-western part of Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad and south-central part of Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai and Jehanabad districts.
Increase in maximum and minimum temperature in Patna on Friday
On Friday, the maximum and minimum temperatures of Patna increased. Due to this, people felt humid heat. The maximum temperature of Patna increased by 2.9 and the minimum temperature increased by one degree Celsius. The maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 40.9 and the minimum temperature at 28.5 degrees Celsius.

The hottest city of the state on Friday was Dehri (Rohtas) with 43.8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature of 27 cities including Patna increased and fell in eight, while the maximum temperature of 35 districts of the state including Patna increased.
