YouTube down, users are facing problems in app and website

Youtube Down : Reports indicate that some YouTube users are experiencing issues with the YouTube app, website, and video uploads. These reports have surged on the DownDetector app since 1:30 PM on Monday, peaking at 3:15 PM.

According to DownDetector, 43% of users who reported issues are facing problems with the app, 33% are having trouble uploading videos, and 23% are encountering issues with the YouTube website.

Currently, the cause of these problems is unknown. There are no updates on the YouTube support page or its social media channels. This appears to be a minor glitch that should be resolved soon.

Several users have taken to Twitter to report issues with videos on their feeds. One user mentioned that “uploaded videos are not showing in the feed,” while another stated that “it’s [YouTube] not uploading videos.”

However, based on posts on X, the issue does not seem widespread. It appears to be affecting a small group of users.

What could be causing the YouTube outage?

Although the exact cause of the YouTube outage is not yet clear, several factors could be responsible for it, including server problems, maintenance work, or network issues. It is also possible that the local Internet Service Provider (ISP) is experiencing problems contributing to the outage.

How to Fix It?

  • Clear cache and cookies: Sometimes, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies can resolve loading issues.
  • Check your internet connection: Make sure your internet connection is stable and working properly.
  • Use an alternative device or network: Test accessing YouTube from another device or network to determine if the problem is device-specific or affects the entire platform.
