Share Market Live Updates: Global Market Indications Signal a Slow Start for Domestic Markets Amid mixed global market signals, domestic stock indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open flat today. While Asian markets traded in a narrow range, U.S. stock markets hit record highs with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones closing at all-time highs.

On Tuesday, the Indian stock market saw Sensex touch the 85,000 mark for the first time, but it ended the day flat. Sensex closed with a slight dip of 14.57 points or 0.02%, settling at 84,914.04. Meanwhile, Nifty 50 climbed marginally by 1.35 points or 0.01%, ending the day at 25,940.40.

Global Signals for Today’s Market

  • Asian Markets: Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropped slightly, while Topix rose by 0.3%. South Korea’s Kospi increased by 0.4%, and Kosdaq saw a rise of 0.43%.
  • GIFT Nifty: Trading around 25,925, indicating a potential sluggish start for Indian indices as it’s nearly 20 points lower than Nifty Futures’ previous close.
  • Wall Street: On Tuesday, the U.S. stock markets hit record highs, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 83.57 points or 0.20% to close at 42,208.22. The S&P 500 gained 14.36 points or 0.25%, reaching 5,732.93, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 100.25 points or 0.56%, ending at 18,074.52.

Gold and Crude Oil Prices Surge

  • Crude oil prices saw gains in the last session. Brent Crude Futures rose by 0.13% to $75.27 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate Crude gained 0.15%, trading at $71.67 per barrel.
  • Gold prices remained steady near record highs amid a weaker dollar and increasing tensions in the Middle East. Spot gold held at $2,658.07 per ounce, close to its all-time high of $2,664.25 reached on Tuesday. U.S. gold futures were up by 0.2%, trading at $2,682.60 per ounce.
